Directions |

The cake batter |
|
In a bowl, mix 1 cup of chopped walnuts,
1 3/4 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce, 1/2 cup of vegetable
oil, 3 eggs, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 2 cups of flour,
1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. |

Add 4 cups of chopped apples after the mixture has been thoroughly
mixed. |

Pour the mixture into greased 9 x 13 oven safe pan |
|
The topping added just before baking |
|
Mix in a bowl 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts. |
|
Sprinkle this mixture over the top of the cake batter. |
|
Place in the oven and bake at 350°F for 40 to 50 minutes |

Final procedure |
|
Add 3/4 of a stick of butter, 1/2 cup of Pet milk, and 3/4 cup of confectioner
sugar to a sauce pan. |
|
Boil for 3 minutes |
|
Drizzle this over the baked Apple Cake. |
