Cup of confectioners (powered) sugar |

Teaspoon of vanilla extract |

Cup of chopped nuts of your choice -- walnuts are common |

Teaspoon of baking power |

Cup of sifted all purpose flour |

Teaspoon of salt |

Directions |

Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees |

Add the butter/margarine, confectioners (powered) sugar, vanilla extract,
and chopped nuts into a large mixing bowl |
|
Mix the ingredients together well |
|
Add the baking power, sifted all purpose flour, and salt to the mixing
bowl |
|
Using your clean hands, mix the ingredients |
|
Take enough dough to make a small ball about 1 1/2 inches in diameter |
|
Roll in your hands to make a small ball and place it on a cookie sheet |
|
Repeat making the balls until you use up the dough or fill the cookie
sheet |
|
Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 8 minutes |
|
Place a sheet of wax paper on a work surface and sprinkle one cup of
confectioners (powered) sugar to roll the baked cookies |

Roll the warm cookies in the powered sugar and then set out to cool. |
