Cups Crisco solid shorting |

Cup butter |

Cup granular sugar |

Teaspoons Vanilla |

Cup whole milk |

Tablespoons corn starch |

Directions |

Beat Crisco and butter until fluffy in a mixing bowl and then set aside |
|
Add sugar, vanilla to a sauce pan and then set aside |
|
Whisk corn starch into milk in a container (measuring cup, bowl, ...) |
|
Stir in the corn starch-milk mixture into the sauce pan containing
the sugar and vanilla |
|
Heat sauce pan on medium heat while constantly stirring until it becomes
a custard consistency |
|
Let pan cool to room temperature |
|
Add contents of sauce pan to mixing bowl with Crisco and butter |
|
Beat until fluffy |
|
