Butter Cream Frosting

an original family secret recipe ;-)

  Ingredients

3/4

Cups Crisco solid shorting
1/4
Cup butter
3/4
Cup granular sugar
2
Teaspoons Vanilla
1
Cup whole milk
2
Tablespoons corn starch
  Directions
  Beat Crisco and butter until fluffy in a mixing bowl and then set aside
  Add sugar, vanilla to a sauce pan and then set aside
  Whisk corn starch into milk in a container (measuring cup, bowl, ...)
  Stir in the corn starch-milk mixture into the sauce pan containing the sugar and vanilla
  Heat sauce pan on medium heat while constantly stirring until it becomes a custard consistency
  Let pan cool to room temperature
  Add contents of sauce pan to mixing bowl with Crisco and butter
  Beat until fluffy
